Anime and Manga Differences[]
When Rukawa shoots his second free shot, the ball ricochets off the ground and hits Sakuragi in the face, only in the anime. In the anime, after Sakuragi slam dunk attempt hits Tanemori directly on the head and Tanemori gets Sakuragi in a headlock, Rukawa turns away and tries to ignore Sakuragi’s cries for help. He then practices his shooting. In the manga, meanwhile, he just replies “interesting” to the headlock.
