Basketball Player Hanamichi Joins the Team (バスケットマン花道入部! - Basuketto Man Hanamichi Nyubu!) is the fourth episode of Slam Dunk anime series. The opening theme is Kimi ga Suki da to Sakebitai which is performed by BAAD. The ending theme is Anata Dake Mitsumeteru which is performed by Maki Ohguro.
Synopsis[]
Hanamichi Sakuragi decides to join the basketball club, which Takenori Akagi is against. Sakuragi tries to find a way to get on Akagi's good side for Haruko Akagi's sake. After Sakuragi shows his determination, Akagi lets him join the team and entrusts his basic training to the manager, Ayako.

Anime and Manga Differences[]
Scene for scene remake except for adding a scene of Sakuragi get hit by the classroom door by Akagi after leaving him the box of bananas. A couple lines from Chapter 8 were cut in addition to some practicing scenes.
