Summary[]

Takenori declaring he has no intention on losing the match
Hanamichi, due to his unorthodox playstyle, successfully blocks Takenori and grabs the loose ball. Everyone in the gymnasium is astounded by Sakuragi's attempt. Haruko, who once worried, cheers Hanamichi. Seeing her all excited and cheerful, Sakuragi gains even more confidence. A frustrated Takenori yells and informs Hanamichi that it was all luck, and he shouldn't get ahead of himself. A confident Sakuragi Hanamichi then tries to show off in front of Takenori by displaying his speedy spinning dribble technique. Takenori again becomes impressed by Hanamichi's skills and declares not matter what happens, he will not let him score. Kogure, who is Takenori's closest friend from middle school and also teammates at Shohuko High, comments that Akagi is an efficient basketball player when it comes to defense. His defensive skill set is currently ranked amongst the top players in the Kanagawa region. Hanamichi, not being intimidated by Akagi's, tries to shoot and score. Takenori successfully blocks it, and then Hanamichi grabs the offensive rebound.
Haruko notices that her brother is serious and is not giving any opportunity to Hanamichi to score. Sakuragi, to evade Takenori's defense, anxiously throws the basketball towards the hoop. The ball touches the board, and then Sakuragi uses his efficient jumping skills to grab the ball. At that moment, Takenori also jumps, and it's a battle of rebound on who will attain basketball possession. Hanamichi grabs the offensive rebound and does a vicious dunk. The entire crowd cheers and becomes exhilarated by his attempt.

Sakuragi Slam Dunks
Hanamichi rushes towards Haruko and informs her that did she see his recent slam dunk. Seeing a cheerful Sakuragi, Haruko then apologizes to him for her yesterday's rude behavior. Hanamichi tells Haruko it's okay not to worry and then jokingly makes fun of Takenori by calling him Gorilla. Akagi overhears their conversation and asks his sister is this the Hanamichi Sakuragi she was talking about a few days ago to him. Seeing Takenori's informal behavior towards Haruko, Hanamichi becomes furious and tells Takenori to leave the court since he just got defeated. Everyone then informs Sakuragi that Takenori is Haruko's brother. Sakuragi, all of a sudden, tries to be friendly towards Takenori and calls him older brother. Takenori gets a bit furious and tells Hanamichi who he is calling older brother. Upon exiting, Rukawa praises Hanamichi's basketball and looks forward to meeting him at the schools' court.
